By undergoing a personal examination of your life, your relationships, and your feelings, you can gain a much better understanding of yourself and those around you. Doing a mental check-in with yourself requires you to ask these questions:
1. How am I feeling today? – (Physically-Emotionally-Mentally)
2. What has been worrying me lately?
3. Am I providing my body with the basic needs?
4. What am I doing to bring myself joy?
5. Who do I have in my corner?
You may have heard it before: You can't help others without taking care of yourself first. Self-care is important so you can better adapt to changes, build strong relationships and support those around you who might be in need. You never know, you could be the person that makes a difference in someone's life by just checking in with them.
